Automic Ventures is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, including those who use assistive technologies or who have visual, motor, cognitive, or learning differences such as dyslexia.
What we have done
- Three display modes — dark, light, and a dyslexia-friendly mode (cream background, the OpenDyslexic typeface, larger text, generous line and letter spacing, left-aligned text, and no italics or all-caps), informed by the British Dyslexia Association style guidance.
- Colour contrast — text and interface colours are designed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios in every display mode.
- Keyboard & structure — the site can be navigated by keyboard, includes a "skip to content" link, visible focus styles, logical heading order, and labelled controls.
- Resizing & reflow — the layout reflows without loss of content when text is enlarged or custom text spacing is applied, and works down to small screen widths.
- Motion — animations are reduced automatically for people who set a "reduce motion" preference in their device or browser.
How accessible this website is
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 level AA. Based on our own automated and manual testing, we believe the site is largely conformant. However, it has not yet been independently audited, so we describe it as partially conformant — there may be issues we are not yet aware of.
Known limitations
- We have not commissioned a formal third-party accessibility audit or full assistive-technology testing.
- The dyslexia-friendly mode reflects best-practice guidance; individual preferences vary, and specialised fonts are not proven to help every reader.
- Some content (for example embedded tools on third-party sites) may render outside our control.
